{Re} Connect the Mindbody
This is me, Jennifer Suki
I am an Intuitive. Somatic Healer. Mindfulness Chef. Retreat Host. Yoga Enthusiast. Divine Feminine. Truth Seeker. Lover. Creator.
I began my career as an Executive Chef in the fast paced and high stress Dallas restaurant scene, stepping into the industry straight out of culinary school at the age of 18. Fueled by an unwavering drive, passion, and a relentless work ethic, I quickly rose through the ranks, gaining invaluable experience and building lasting connections along the way.
For nearly a decade, I thrived in the high-pressure, high-stakes environment of the kitchen. However, I eventually realized that my success had come at a steep cost. I had unconsciously adopted a lifestyle that pushed me to the brink—beneath the external success, I found myself slowly losing touch with my well-being—caught in a cycle of poor choices, unhealthy habits, substance abuse and toxic relationships, all while pushing my body and mind to their limits.
In 2020, my world came crashing down. The closure of my restaurant, Mudhen Meat & Greens, along with a series of personal and professional challenges, left me feeling overwhelmed and lost. Like so many during that turbulent time, I found myself at a crossroads—buried under grief and longing for change.
It was in the midst of this upheaval that I began a profound journey of self-discovery. What started as a simple 66-day gratitude journal blossomed into a life-altering practice. This small act of mindfulness became my gateway to breaking free from unhealthy patterns, shifting my mindset, and ultimately transforming the way I approached life.
Radical self-love became the foundation of my healing process. I shed old habits, released toxic patterns, and made space for new choices. Through unlearning, re-learning, and deep self-study, I slowly allowed my true self to emerge.
A spontaneous solo yoga retreat marked a pivotal moment in my journey. What began as a desire for reprieve soon revealed itself as an exit strategy from my former life. I left with a clear vision for my future—one grounded in nourishment, healing, and authenticity.
I discovered my true purpose: to nourish others through food and fellowship. This purpose, alongside my commitment to well-being, led me to a career that aligns with my values—a sustainable path forward that nurtures both my soul and the people I serve.
Today, I continue to embrace the practices that transformed my life. My story is one of resilience, growth, and the power of reinvention. Through conscious living and radical self-love, I’ve found my new way of being—and I’m committed to sharing it with others.

I love being inspired by an ingredient and creating something special that makes me feel good in that moment. Sometimes, feeling good means preparing a loved ones favorite dish with that extra special yum in every bite. Other times, it means treating myself to a meal prepared perfectly to my liking. Most of the time, it means transforming leftovers into another meal. It is a huge part of my meal prep strategies.

I have been practicing yoga since my first class at a 24-hour fitness nearly two decades ago. I have been an active person for much of my life and love trying new things, which has taken me through many seasons of various practices and intensities of commitment to them.
My yoga practice has evolved over the years and at times taken a back seat to other fitness passions. I enjoy trying different styles of movement in general- from a variety of yoga to weightlifting and Pilates. Personally, I always come back to yoga. To me, movement is key. Have fun with it!
The Dimensions of Personal Wellbeing
-
Mind / Spirit
The mind is the element used to create and experience your own reality. Mindfulness & presence allow you to manifest your dreams into this world by tapping into your spirit connection. Think of it this way- if the soul is like a computer, then your spirit mind is the wifi that is broadcasting you into this body. By tending to the mind, we can manage the matter.
-
Body / Physical
The physical body is the machine we use to navigate the world. It is what we most readily identify with. The minds thoughts become our actions which becomes who we are in day to day life. By truly connecting with the body, we can explore all of our senses for a deeper human experience. A physical yoga practice is a great way to deepen the mindbody connection.
-
External / Social
The external world is the place where everything outside of the mind exists. It serves as the invitation to get out of your head and into the here and now. As inherently social creatures, we are energy-in-motion (emotion) that thrive on human connection. Retreats are a wonderful place to gather and share in joy, gratitude & peace of mind.
-
Inner Realm / Emotional
Within the inner world lies the authentic self. The self, when understood, is already perfect. Just as any seed of a flower contains the flower in itself in all its magnificence, the self has everything it needs to fulfill its higher purpose. When the inner conditions are right, it naturally emerges, bigger, better, and more abundantly than we can imagine. Tools like meditation and breathwork allow one to find deep inner calm.
